Ms. Brandie R. Meekins


Brandie Meekins is the proud mother of a high school Senior, Michaela Colvin, and a 2001 Alumnus of Fayetteville State University. While a student at FSU, she served as member and Captain of, both, the Marching Band’s Crown Jewels Flag Corp, during football season, and Royal Treasures Dancers, during basketball season.

She was promoted to Dance/Flag Coach, when she was only a junior. Ms. Meekins was a FOUNDING MEMBER of FSU’s Black Millennium Modeling Club in 1997, and she was also initiated into the Delta Xi Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc, at FSU, in spring 2001. Upon graduation from FSU, Ms. Meekins has been a Correctional Officer, Probation/Parole Officer, Criminal Justice Instructor, Sentencing Specialist, Behavioral Specialist, and a Collegiate Admissions Counselor. She has also served as Auxiliary Coordinator for the Golden Girls of E. E. Smith’s Magnificent Marching Machine, until 2008, Dance Coach for Greensboro’s Ben L. Smith High School Ladies of Gold Auxiliary, and she has coordinated numerous dance/flag camps for local high school marching bands, such as Pine Forest HS and Seventy-First HS. Ms. Meekins was the previous Owner/Creative Director of Nezziem Performing Arts Center in Fayetteville, the Dance Coordinator for the Royal Treasures Dancers of FSU’s Marching Bronco Express, Dance/Modeling Instructor for Think Smart Outreach in Harnett County, Advisor for E. E. Smith’s Golden Bull Swagg Dance Crew, and Fashion Show Coordinator for Terry Sanford High School. She, currently, serves as a recently sworn member, and ONLY female, of Fayetteville City’s Planning Commission, and she is a METHODIST UNIVERSITY MONARCH GRADUATE STUDENT, in the Justice Administration Program.
